Beginners to Advanced Welcome & Encouraged - BodyMovin' Yoga & Dance studio in San Clemente welcomes each and every person interested in trying a yoga or dance class, despite your previous experience. Whether you are a complete beginner, or come with lots of experience, we have a class to suit you.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga - Level I & II - Incorporating a blend of yoga postures, mindful breathing and proper alignment in a moving sequence, this class gives you strength, focus, balance and peace of mind. A blend of sequences with traditional Ashtanga roots, this class combines standing, balancing, seated and inverted postures. Beginning with Sun Salutes, then moving through Chaturanga, Triangle, Warrior, and Side Angle postures, we warm up the body, work intensely, then end in a closing stretching sequence. This class will strengthen the upper body and core, teaching you how to gracefully flow from one pose to another. All levels welcome.
Toddler and Me Yoga - Play with your toddler while doing yoga! We will learn fun yoga poses for the toddlers, have an energizing practice for the adults, and give toddlers a gentle, soothing massage. The class is designed to help them strengthen their bodies, improve coordination, and release some of the stress associated with this age. They will also socialize and play with other toddlers. Tribal Fusion Belly Dance - Tribal Fusion Belly Dance is a powerful new dance form that fuses the ancient with the truly cutting edge. Based on American Tribal Style Belly Dance* and Improv Tribal Style, Tribal Fusion draws its sounds, stylings and vocabulary from modern dance forms like hip hop and modern and combines them with Middle Eastern, Classical Indian, Flamenco and North African rhythms and movements, and is constantly evolving. Tribal Fusion emphasizes strong individual expression and synergistic group interactions. Experience this cutting edge dance form for yourself as we explore the strengthening isolations & graceful fluid movements, which tone & trim your shape while boosting your confidence and mood! Discover the art, joy and technique of Tribal as you learn fun and engaging combinations. Each week will deepen your existing knowledge of this powerful yet sensuous art form & increase your movement capabilities. We will also explore stylistic expression and improvisation, that will create new flavors and textures you can incorporate into all your dance. Dancers of every skill level are welcome! Prenatal Yoga - A class designed especially for expectant mothers to restore their vital energy resources and nurture their bond with their babies. We will learn breathing techniques that help calm the body and the mind, easing the stress sometimes created during this time. We will also move through a very soothing and grounding sequence of supported asanas (postures) to help relieve the pain and fatigue associated with pregnancy. Connect deeper with your baby and enjoy the community of like-minded moms-to-be as you prepare and strengthen your body for childbirth. Suitable for all levels.
Shrink your Gut & tighten your Butt - With our "Guts and Butts" class, let's get you in amazing shape!! Why wait for bikini season because in San Clemente, it's bikini season year round! This yoga-influenced exercise class will tone and strengthen your abs and booty. Incorporating a fusion of strengthening and stretching systems, focusing attention on core postural muscles, to provide you with a uniquely transformational method of body conditioning appropriate for people of all ages and abilities. Create the abs and booty you always wanted.
Power Flow Yoga - For those students looking for a rigorous workout to supplement your regular yoga practice. A dynamic and challenging yoga class that will help heal, detoxify and exhilarate the body and mind. We associate each breath with a pose, moving from one posture to the next to the rhythm of your breath. Improving balance, intention, and core strength, you will move through a Vinyasa-style flow building strength, toning your muscles, and developing keen internal focus. Previous experience recommended.

Kid's Yoga - Our Kids’ Yoga program helps to stimulate the mind-body connection so crucial for proper child development and academic success. As a retired school teacher of ten years, our instructor believes there is a tremendous impact on improved focus in the classroom and their overall behavior both in and outside of school. This non-competitive and fun class is the perfect adjunct to soccer, swimming, gymnastics, and other sports. Yoga improves flexibility, balance and coordination. Your kids will release energy while calming their mind as they learn basic yoga poses appropriate for all levels of children ages 6-12.
